Computers and smartphones are necessary to modern life\, but listen to me when I say that you need to get away from them as much as you can. Go to a record store\, pick up a few wonderful albums\, take them home; love them; spin them while you make dinner\, or chat with friends\, or play with your kids. Life is short. Celebrate it with art and music. You will feel better. “\n– Michael Kurtz\, Co-Founder of Record Store Day \nCelebrate Record Store Day with Collective Books & Records at Castle Community! \nFoosball Tournament | Live Music | Lots of extra goodies provided by BROADWAY RECORDS alumni! \nFoosball Tournament | 12 – 4 pm\nThe first annual Collective Books & Records Record Store Day Foosball Tournament is just the competition for you! It’s free to enter and open to both singles (16 accepted) and doubles (8 accepted) teams. The tournament starts at 12 noon\, but players are encouraged to come early to warm up (starting at 10 am). \n• All players will draw seeds at random and will be entered into a bracket.\n• Games are limited to 15 minutes.\n• The first team to five goals wins.\n• Sudden death if tied (most goals wins).\n• Championship matches will be best 2 out of 3 games with no time limit.\n• Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place finishers in both singles and doubles brackets. \nLive Music\n12:00 pm | Hair of the Dog acoustic\n12:50 pm | William John\n1:40 pm | Fires of Denmark\n2:30 pm | Saint Saint\n3:15 pm | Amanda Jay \nJust added – Hoka native and Broadway Records alumni “Jimmy” will be showing off some vinyl gems!
