DESCRIPTION:Minneapolis rock band Annie and the Bang Bang are thrilled to play as part of “Thursdays Downtown” on the 1st Ave Stage in Rochester’s Peace Plaza. \nAnnie has played her solo drone-folk material at Canvas and Chardonnay\, but the band hasn’t been back for over a year since they played a good long stint at Kathy’s Pub\, and where drummer Mike hilariously had to tuck himself and his full drum kit into the window of Cafe Steam. \nAnnie and the Bang Bang have four albums worth of original material. They genre hop from dreamy folkpop to grunge-meets-late-sixties-rock to swampy seventies grooves. They also play some choice and entertaining covers. \nPlease come rock in the sunshine of the plaza. We’ll be glad to see you.
