We’re trying to work out some feelings about romance\, civic duty\, technology and modern social life\, and being a decent human being. We make music that we might call “weird orchestral music”. We each play in other bands too: Bathtub Cig\, Fiji-13\, We Are The Willows and PETER M. \nBrent Penny \n“Brent Penny (Pennington) is a Minneapolis based queer singer-songwriter and musician. His arrangements exhibit a wide range of influences including folk\, psych\, pop\, and experimental moments. Combining melodies informed by youthful Mormon church choir melodies with the timbre of an effeminate Neil Young\, Penny has found a unique niche in a songwriting style that bridges the gaps between the many genres his music draws on. \nWith the versatility of someone who has played in various lo-fi and DIY bands such as Bathtub Cig and The Awful Truth combined with a background in curating nightlife spaces\, Penny is a dynamic live performer who combines deadpan vulnerability with fierce honesty.” \nFriday\, March 8th at 10 pm.\n$10.
