SUMMARY:The Shackletons w/ Hair of the Dog
DESCRIPTION:Date: November 23rd\, 2019\nLocation: Thesis Beer Project\nAge restriction: 16+\nDoors open at: 7:00PM\nHair of the Dog: 8:00PM\nThe Shackletons: 9:00PM\nGeneral Admission \n  \n\nFREE SHOW AND WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE!\nMy Town My Music is thrilled to be bringing The Shackletons back to Rochester! This time around\, the party is at Thesis Beer Project\, and it’s a FREE show! Getting the night started are local favorites Hair of the Dog! \nIn addition\, bring in gently used children’s winter clothing such as coats\, hats and gloves\, or snow pants\, and we’ll donate them to the United Way to help children in our community keep warm. We thought it fitting to partner with Thesis and do our part to help put the good in their motto: “For the good and thirsty.” \nIn gratitude of your generosity and support\, you’ll receive a half-pour of your choice of one of Thesis’s fantastic beers! If you don’t have access to any winter gear\, that’s okay! We’ll have a donation jar available if you feel so inclined. All in all\, it’ll be a celebration of live music\, community and really great beer. \n  \n\nThe Shackletons\nThe Shackletons \nThe Shackletons are a Twin Cities band mixing garage rock\, punk\, blues\, and lyrical storytelling. Writing and playing songs rooted in the “Minnesota Sound.” \nColin Campbell (vocals/guitar)\, his older brother Cameron (bass)\, and younger brother Evan (Drums/miscellaneous screaming) are living double lives as an indie rock band as well as a blues band. The Shackletons have been generating buzz throughout the Twin Cities area and released their video for their hit “Minnesota Girls” on 89.3 The Current. \n  \n  \n\n\n\nWatch\n \n\n\nListen\n \n\n\n\nHair of the Dog\nHair of the Dog \nHair of the Dog consists of Tracy Sonnier (acoustic guitar/vocals)\, Jeremy Jewell (electric guitar/vocals)\, Mike Nesbit (bass)\, Erik Henriksson (drums/electric guitar/vocals). The musicians are long-time fixtures on the local scene\, both as solo performers and with other bands. In late 2014\, they found themselves band-less and looking for new people to play with. They discovered through playing together that the blend of their individual styles made for a very interesting and eclectic sound. They unveiled this sound to the public at their first public appearance together on New Year’s Eve\, December 31\, 2014. A local music reviewer described the band as “vintage rock.” The show went over so well that they quickly were offered other gigs around town and have played just about every venue available since\, including Kathy’s Pub\, North Star Bar\, The Half Barrel\, The Tap House\, The Doggery\, Forager Brewery and many others\, as well as local music festivals and block parties such as Eco Fest and Social Ice. \nEach band member brings their own distinct musical taste and background to the picture which results in a very organic\, rootsy style that is hard to pinpoint by using any specific genre name. During any given performance\, the audience can expect to hear original music\, ranging from rock’n’roll to funky dance numbers\, folk to blues\, bluegrass and many other styles. \nFollow Hair of the Dog:\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/hairofthedoglovesyou/ \n\n\n\nListen/Watch\n\n\n  \n\nSponsors\, Partners\, and Friends\nThank you to our sponsors and partners: Thesis Beer Project\, Northern Sun Productions\, Cameo at the Castle\, Fox & Fern Floral\, The Med City Beat\, Fairfield Inn & Suites\, The Rochester Posse\,  Pure Rock Studios\, Café Steam\, Wondercloud Media\, and Carpet Booth Studios

Founded in 1977\, The Suburbs are recognized worldwide as among the original heroes of the historic music era in Minneapolis that saw the emergence of other bands like The Suicide Commandos\, Prince\, The Replacements and Hüsker Dü. Still going strong\, the Suburbs’ most recent album is 2017’s Hey Muse!. \nLed now by original keyboardist and singer Chan Poling\, original drummer Hugo Klaers\, and longtime saxophonists Max Ray (also of The Wallets)\, they are augmented by a supergroup of newcomers: Stevie Brantseg and Jeremy Ylvisaker on guitars\, Steve Price on bass\, Janey Winterbauer on backup vocals\, Rochelle Becker on Bari Sax and Stephen Kung on horns and keys. \nFollow The Suburbs:\nFacebook: TheSuburbsBand\nTwitter: thesuburbsband\nYouTube: thesuburbsband\nInstagram: thesuburbsband\n\nLearn more about The Suburbs at: thesuburbsband.com \n\nLowRay\n \nMixed by Grammy-Award Winning Engineer Jim Scott (Tom Petty\, Wilco) and Ian Davenport (Band of Skulls\, Supergrass)\, Friends and the Fakers announces the official arrival of LowRay as the Twin Cities’ next great Americana rock band. \nLowRay are another in the long line of Trans-Atlantic musical partnerships. For his part in the duo singer and guitarist Dan Fowlds (Bump\, Pill Hill) looked east to David Bowie\, Black Sabbath and The Rolling Stones alongside his Americana influences while growing up. A musical career started in Northeast Minneapolis in the 1980s woodshedding in his parent’s basement later moved on to contest wins\, touring and recording over the next 30 years. James Irving (22-20s) was very much looking back the other way from his English homeland. Son of a Jazz pianist\, he was a big band drummer in his youth before eventually landing a gig with 22-20s – a deep south influenced 4 piece renowned for their fearsome\, blues soaked live performances. \nFollow LowRay:\nFacebook: LowRaymusic\nTwitter: LowRayBand\nYouTube: LowRay Band\nInstagram: LowRay Band\n\nLearn more about LowRay at: lowrayband.com \n\nAnnie Mack\n \nAnnie Mack has built a reputation for writing meaningful\, relate-able and inspirational songs.
