DESCRIPTION:Art Heads Live: Josiah Smith // The Deltaz \nTHE DELTAZ\nThe Deltaz have worked over a decade to master a wide spectrum of sounds\, from heavy blues and roots rock to classic country and folk. Brothers John Siegel and Ted Siegel spend many of their days perfecting new records at a handmade studio adjacent to residence in the hills of Mulholland Highway that overlook Los Angeles. They have become mainstays at a nearby Southern Californian institution\, The Old Place\, regularly performing for patrons at the ever-packed restaurant in the mountains. There\, they caught the ear of the late bassist Rick Rosas (Neil Young\, Joe Walsh)\, who became a mentor to the group. They spend their remaining hours rigorously touring\, headlining shows across the country while attracting the attention of sonic peers such as alt-country act The White Buffalo and Mississippi Blues legend Watermelon Slim\, playing with both on several occasions. The Deltaz have had their music placed on CMT and MTV television shows such as Jersey Shore and Party Down South. Most recently The Deltaz had their song “Wild Mustang” featured in upcoming film “The Devil Has a Name”\, recorded as a duet with vocal rock legend Bonnie Bramlett (Eric Clapton\, Leon Russell) \nThe Deltaz were formed while the brothers were still in high school. The boys had already immersed themselves in the last century of popular music by that point\, and this passion led them both to quickly pick up their respective instruments of choice. Ted has grown into one of the sharpest guitarists among the independent scene in Los Angeles today\, while commanding drummer John has expanded his role in the group over the years to include impressive harmonica work and vocal harmonies that leave audiences overwhelmed at his coordination. Formed in 2009 as a four-piece around the talents of siblings Ian\, Eric\, and Brittany Hölljes\, along with Elizabeth Hopkins\, the North Carolina-based band expanded to a sextet the following year with the additions of Mike McKee and Grant Emerson. In 2011 the group inked a deal with Sire/Warner Bros. after a particularly impressive in-office audition for Seymour Stein\, who was blown away by Hopkins and the Hölljes siblings’ powerful voices. DESCRIPTION:LIVE MUSIC || NO COVER \nWinterstate is an alternative rock duo co-founded in 2015 in Valencia\, Spain by Berklee College of Music alumni Kelvin Killmon and Alexander Ortberg. \nAlexander Ortberg and Kelvin Killmon grew up in Minnesota – almost close enough to share an area code – but they were destined to cross paths 4\,500 miles from home under the sun-bleached palm trees at Berklee College of Music in Valencia\, Spain. The two became close friends while pursuing their Master’s degrees in performance and production\, and began working on original songs together. \nWhen the pair graduated in 2016\, Alex returned to Minnesota while Kelvin moved to Seattle\, but their musical collaboration has continued to flourish. Connected by interstate 90\, they chose the name WINTERSTATE as a reference to their long-distance work relationship and the icy climates of Minnesota and northern Washington. Their debut album “The Ride” was recorded simultaneously in both locations – with musical ideas being developed and traded back and forth over the Internet. \nWINTERSTATE will be touring the Midwest and Pacific Coast with a rotating lineup of guest musicians in 2019 to promote the release of “The Ride”!

With roots in soul\, R&B\, and funk from his native Detroit\, MI meshed with southern grit after spending many years in Florida Cuchetti’s music spans a wide gauntlet of sonic influence that gives him his signature roots rock sound. \nGrowing up the eighth of ten children with a operatically trained mother and a jazz trumpet player for a father Tony Cuchetti was exposed to a wide spectrum of music and learned from an early age what he wanted to do and just how to channel it. He toured with his family for many years performing in malls\, at state fairs\, convention centers\, etc. Through all of these experiences and vast array of musical influences\, Tony Cuchetti’s unique sound and style would emerge. \nTony continues to write and perform playing over two hundred shows a year. For a decade Ian has been writing and singing songs for a handful of bands ever since the pivotal moment of being mangled and tasered by three brutally aggressive Eugene\, Oregon police officers. After leaving the front-lines of activism behind\, he turned to homesteading and minstreling as a form of activism. “I believe in music and stories\, I believe they change the world\,” says Ian\, often. Ian is somewhat frighteningly slender (openly vocalized mostly by his mother) and enjoys performing shoe-less and sweater-full.
