SUMMARY:Brother Jon Band at Kathy's Pub
DESCRIPTION:From Minneapolis Minnesota. The band is rooted in blues and Classic Rock with a jam style all of our own. Promoting their first release Open Jam\, the band is getting some airplay with the song Bobby’s Blues\, currently on multiple stations across the US and followed up by the song Dog getting some good airtime as well. Winners of the 2016 Famous Dave’s battle of the bands. And voted best album by Duluth Minnesota’s 94x. The band is at a high point. For the Inline Marathon competition\, Duluth blocked off I35 while the band played in the tunnels for 2000 spectators and racers. The band keeps getting better moving through the trenches..playing locally\, regionally and nationally at clubs and festivals. Anywhere and everywhere! Most notably Lowertown Blues Festival in St Paul Minnesota. Duluth Minnesota’s Homegrown Festival where 200 bands perform on the streets and clubs of Duluth\, MN and Superior\, WI for a week. Northwoods Blues Festival in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin. And in 2017 at The Red Gorilla Festival in Austin Texas\, a division of the South by Southwest festival. \nFor the band’s second effort they have signed on with legendary producer and engineer Jonathan Akre. Jonathan’s credentials speak for themselves and can only help the band achieve the success we deserve. The band is moving on up! So watch for us live! And don’t forget to download our album!

Their sound fills the gap between complexity and groove. \nBiography\nWurk is a 7-piece funk-fusion group which formed in Madison\, WI in 2016. Inspired by Snarky Puppy\, Umphrey’s McGee\, The Motet\, Herbie Hancock\, and many others; their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive multi-genre exploration of funk\, jazz fusion\, prog rock\, reggae\, and more. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect”\, their sound seeks to employ a musically educated tone; Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove\, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night. The Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards recognized their rapid ascent to stardom in 2018 with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award; then only six months later Wurk won five more awards including the coveted 2019 MAMA Artist of the Year Award. \nMax Morkri drives the band with his blend of solid grooving and intricate chops\, which is coupled by Casey Seymour’s powerful bass lines to pull the band together. Frank Laufenberg (guitar) and Miles Morkri (electric piano) provide rhythmic and tonal complexity while filling the role as the principal songwriters and vocalists. Ryley Buchanan\, the 2019 MAMA Synth Player of the Year\, brings a unique layer of effects to the mix. Daniel Haschke (saxophones/flute) and Carl Hipenbecker (trumpet) top it off with impressive horn lines and effects. Most of Wurk’s members grew up in Mount Horeb\, WI\, just west of Madison; their shared background creates the band’s closeness and ability to communicate complicated ideas musically. DESCRIPTION:The Alluvion concert experience features live guitar and heavily effect driven layered vocals over psychedelic trip-hop down tempo beats. Evenson seems determined to assure audience members\, that this isn’t typical EDM or basement rock\, however once you’ve seen or heard Alluvion\, that becomes delightfully apparent. \nFor the last three years\, Berndt Evenson has been treating audiences to his unique brand of original\, albeit eclectic electronic music known as Alluvion. Evenson has been in various musical groups since he was a teenager\, all the while developing a skill for electronic production\, and pursuing his love for live performances. During April and May of 2017\, Alluvion toured parts of the Midwest\, Mountain states and Pacific Northwest – performing 30+ shows in over a dozen states. Alluvion continued to tour in the Midwest during the fall of 2017 and throughout 2018.
