Their sound fills the gap between complexity and groove. \nBiography\nWurk is a 7-piece funk-fusion group which formed in Madison\, WI in 2016. Inspired by Snarky Puppy\, Umphrey’s McGee\, The Motet\, Herbie Hancock\, and many others; their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive multi-genre exploration of funk\, jazz fusion\, prog rock\, reggae\, and more. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect”\, their sound seeks to employ a musically educated tone; Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove\, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night. The Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards recognized their rapid ascent to stardom in 2018 with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award; then only six months later Wurk won five more awards including the coveted 2019 MAMA Artist of the Year Award. \nMax Morkri drives the band with his blend of solid grooving and intricate chops\, which is coupled by Casey Seymour’s powerful bass lines to pull the band together. Frank Laufenberg (guitar) and Miles Morkri (electric piano) provide rhythmic and tonal complexity while filling the role as the principal songwriters and vocalists. Ryley Buchanan\, the 2019 MAMA Synth Player of the Year\, brings a unique layer of effects to the mix. DESCRIPTION:The Alluvion concert experience features live guitar and heavily effect driven layered vocals over psychedelic trip-hop down tempo beats. Evenson seems determined to assure audience members\, that this isn’t typical EDM or basement rock\, however once you’ve seen or heard Alluvion\, that becomes delightfully apparent. \nFor the last three years\, Berndt Evenson has been treating audiences to his unique brand of original\, albeit eclectic electronic music known as Alluvion. Evenson has been in various musical groups since he was a teenager\, all the while developing a skill for electronic production\, and pursuing his love for live performances. During April and May of 2017\, Alluvion toured parts of the Midwest\, Mountain states and Pacific Northwest – performing 30+ shows in over a dozen states. Alluvion continued to tour in the Midwest during the fall of 2017 and throughout 2018.

Inspired by a vast amount of artists including Green Day\, Blink 182\, All Time Low\, A Day to Remember\, etc… Fire at the Falls hits you with straight forward\, upbeat sound of classic punk\, melodic and poppy choruses that get trapped inside of your head\, and the lyrics that make you say “I should tweet that.” This up-and-coming band is one that you won’t want to miss out on.
