The group has had some high-profile gigs over those many years\, including performing as the welcoming band for five U.S. Presidents: Richard Nixon\, Ronald Reagan\, Jimmy Carter\, George Bush\, Sr. and George Bush\, Jr.\, and one presidential hopeful\, Ross Perot. The Rochester group was the official Minnesota band at the 1984 World’s Fair in New Orleans. In 2005\, the group was named to the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. \nH30 \nThe father and son’s trio H3O began performing great jazz tunes together when bassist Max Heukeshoven was only 14 years old. Along with older brother Hans on drums and vibes and dad Eric on the piano the group was asked to play for a private pool party and haven’t stopped since!\nA. Eric Heukeshoven is an assistant professor of music and director of Jazz Studies at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Hans Heukeshoven is a 2015 graduate of Saint Mary’s with degrees in Music Performance and Computer Science and works as a software engineer. Max Heukeshoven is completing a degree in Music Industry at Saint Mary’s and plans to attend law school.\nH3O performs a wide variety of jazz styles including original music. Evenson has been in various musical groups since he was a teenager\, all the while developing a skill for electronic production\, and pursuing his love for live performances. During April and May of 2017\, Alluvion toured parts of the Midwest\, Mountain states and Pacific Northwest – performing 30+ shows in over a dozen states. Alluvion continued to tour in the Midwest during the fall of 2017 and throughout 2018.

Inspired by Snarky Puppy\, Umphrey’s McGee\, The Motet\, Herbie Hancock\, and many others; their innovative original songs and ambitious interpretations of popular covers offer an impressive multi-genre exploration of funk\, jazz fusion\, prog rock\, reggae\, and more. Described by Isthmus Magazine as “summer-jam-perfect”\, their sound seeks to employ a musically educated tone; Wurk fills the gap between complexity and groove\, impressing fans and keeping them dancing all night. The Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Awards recognized their rapid ascent to stardom in 2018 with the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award; then only six months later Wurk won five more awards including the coveted 2019 MAMA Artist of the Year Award. \nMax Morkri drives the band with his blend of solid grooving and intricate chops\, which is coupled by Casey Seymour’s powerful bass lines to pull the band together. Frank Laufenberg (guitar) and Miles Morkri (electric piano) provide rhythmic and tonal complexity while filling the role as the principal songwriters and vocalists.
