Their late night conversations were all inspirations to the genesis of his upcoming career as a songwriter and entertainer.Jeff has toured the lower 48 from coast to coast as well as England\, Scotland and Wales. Much in the vein of Johnny Cash\, Jeff writes his own songs but also performs unique interpretations of other songs he admires. He’s opened up for Dr. John\, Mason Jennings\, Tony Jackson\, members of Wilco\, Joe Pug\, Hymn For Her\, Bill Staines and has performed alongside Phil Vassar and Sam Amidon. Justin Vernon of Bon Iver fame was once Jeff’s lead guitar player in Jeff White & The Front Porch. His song\, Please Come Back To Me was the intro theme song to Spectrum West\, Wisconsin Public Radio as well as being featured in the movie\, Illegal Use Of Joe Zopp and the TV show\, Discover Wisconsin. His music is regularly played on Converge Radio 99.9FM. He’s opened one of his tours at the legendary Big Top Chautauqua and has 6 studio albums under his belt. SUMMARY:The 3's and 7's at Kathy's Pub
DESCRIPTION:After finishing up another semester of college in the spring of 2018\, four former D.C. Everest High School friends were looking to start a summer project\, playing music around the central-Wisconsin area. When they all found out they would be home\, they decided to form a new group: The 3’s and 7’s\, playing their favorite classic rock and heavy metal songs\, as well as writing and performing their own songs that they wrote. Sam Erickson and Nolan Hanke attend the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point\, Chase Matthiae graduated in the spring of 2018 from the University of Wisconsin -Platteville\, and Alec Martin finished up his last semester at the University of Wisconsin -Madison this fall. The 3’s and 7’s band members share a love for groups such as Led Zeppelin\, Black Sabbath\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, and many other classic rock groups\, and in the summer they performed at a handful of places in the central-Wisconsin area. \nAfter the summer wrapped up\, Alec\, Sam and Nolan headed back to school with Chase working a new full time job\, but the journey of The 3’s and 7’s didn’t end there. Alec accepted a full time position back in Wausau\, which meant that the band would continue. In February of 2019\, the boys will be traveling to Appleton to record their debut album of all original songs written by them\, and their first show back will be at The Great Dane in Wausau on March 8th. Future shows and performances will follow and be listed on the band page. \nThe 3’s and 7’s would like to thank you all for your support this past summer when we began our journey. We could not have done any of this without all the encouragement and motivation from friends\, family\, and people who listened to our music. We will be working on our material during the winter\, but we hope to see you in March when we return with our completed original album. Cheers!
