DESCRIPTION:Art Heads Live: Jailhouse Payback + Syvers \nTuesday\, September 4th. Doors @ 6:30\, Music @ 7\n$7 preshow//$10 at the door\nAll ages \nJAILHOUSE PAYBACK (acoustic set) \nJailhouse Payback formed in early 2007 when Sailer and Rechs started writing music together in Rochester\, Minnesota. Their hits became popular with at least 4 or 5 people in town\, and somebody pulled some strings to get them on the radio. They performed live on 89.3/88.7 FM The Current (Minnesota Public Radio) for MPR’s “Live from Rochester” day in May of 2007. Mark Wheat from the Current said\, “Awesome”. Since then\, the band has written and recorded more than 100 original songs\, and has had two songs played on Minnesota Public Radio’s “Local Show”. In March of 2010\, they opened for the Grammy Award Winning Carolina Chocolate Drops in Wabasha\, MN (seriously\, that’s not a joke\, we really did). The band found Dan Ruggeberg on Craig’s List (for free) in 2009\, and met Jessica Daly at Schmitt Music and local open mic nights. Many drummers have been added to the band\, and none are permitted to leave. \nJailhouse Payback have shared the stage with some other band that played after they went home\, some popular country band that literally sound checked their entire set\, and like we said earlier\, the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Their favorite musicians to play with are local artists like Root River Jam\, Jason McKenzie\, Pat Egan\, Fall Risk\, MM Jr\, and please play with us again John Sievers. \nJailhouse Payback has performed at Whiskeybones Roadhouse (R.I.P)\, The Rochester Arts Center\, The Bar (Goodview)\, Broadway Theater in Wabasha\, Studio 2 and Acadia Cafe in Minneapolis\, Hot Topic (I know\, right?)\, Olmsted County History Center\, Rochester Symphony\, Post Town Winery\, and will be playing at Northstar Bar on August 25. They’ve played in Grinnell and Maquoketa\, Iowa; will return for their second show in Madison\, WI on Sept 21 and their first show in Chicago\, IL (BERWYN!) on Sept 22. Jailhouse Payback has music streaming on Spotify and other music services\, as well as for purchase on I-tunes. \nSYVERS \nSyvers\, a husband-wife indie-folk duo from Minneapolis\, share in a love of finding the honest truth no matter the cost. This common pursuit led them to write their first EP together\, the Au Fond Sessions\, a 3-track collection of an intimate\, bare-bones gaze into the heart of relationship and the spectrum of its experience. The duo sweep layered vocal harmonies over effected grooves\, bending the guitar and voice into a landscape of atmospheric textures. Quickly becoming a staple of their shows\, live-looping grants the duo the permission to create tracks on the fly\, making each night a new collaboration. \nContinuing on the stride of their first release\, Syvers is in the process of completing their first full-length album\, set to be released in 2018. They are currently traveling across the country\, bringing intimate connections of song and story to their audiences.
