DIGITAL PHOTO EDITING FOR THE BEGINNING PHOTOGRAPHER

Threshold Artist in Residence and Gallery 24 member Rick Swanson will lead a photo editing class in the Community Studio at the Castle.

Tuesday, November 26 from 6 – 8 pm

Fee: $20 per attendee / $16 for Threshold Arts members

Tired of submitting photos for printing, only to have them cut off at the edges? Tired of pictures that look great on your phone but come back blurry from the printer? Afraid to get started doing your own photo editing because you don’t know where to begin? Not sure what “dpi” means, or how to change it?

This class is for the amateur photographer and snapshot taker who can’t afford to spend a load of money on Photoshop software, but still would like to learn enough skill to improve their own pictures, and avoid the problems described above.

Attendees should bring at least one of the following:

1. A computer with some of your pictures on it (vacation; family; other)

2. Physical copies of prints you would like to learn to edit (4×6; 5×7; 8×10)

3. If you have it, a device (computer; tablet; smartphone) with basic photo editing software on it (Snapseed; Light Room; other)

4. A desire to learn, and a desire to help others who want to learn the basics of photo editing
