The Shabby Road Orchestra is an ad-hoc Minneapolis rock collective. It features members of The Honeydogs, Six Mile Grove, Greazy Meal, and The New Standards holiday show.

Beginning in 2017, the Shabby Road Orchestra stages intermittent, sprawling and over-achieving live recreations of the Beatles’ iconic later albums. They faithfully recreate note-for-note versions, complete with sound effects, harmonies, Lennon-esque idiosyncrasies and largely authentic instrumentation.

Also, they will play a wide-ranging mix of the obscure and the iconic from the band’s final six albums. A jewel of inventive songwriting, The Beatles are celebrated for their evocative mix of experimental musical forms and buoyant singles.

The 12-piece Shabby Road Orchestra is:

From Rochester:
Brandon Sampson, Six Mile Grove (vocals, guitar)
John Sievers, the D’Sievers, Loud Mouth Brass (trombone)
Paul Scott (keys)
Joe Carey (vocals, guitar)

From Minneapolis:
Adam Levy, Turn, Turn Turn, the Honeydogs (guitars, vocals)
John Eller, Zeppo (guitars, vocals)
John Fields, Greazy Meal (bass)
Ken Chastain, New Standards Holiday Show, Semisonic touring band (drums, vocals)
Tom Scott (keys, percussion, sound effects)
David Foley (horns, woodwinds)
Andy Nelson (woodwinds)
Jacqueline Ultan (cello)
